About Samu

Thank you for being here. I’m Samu Puuronen, from Kajaani, Finland. I started to make my own music as a teenager. I picked up a guitar, recorded some chords on my mp3-player, played them out loud on and played a melody on top of those chords. I was hooked. I had created something out of nothing. Ever since then I’ve been creating music. I have relesed 8 singles under the name “Tantalize” and one cover song under my own name so far. I have multiple Tantalize songs waiting to be released.

My music

I have released 8 original songs under the name Tantalize so far. I’ve written the music and the lyrics for these. I also play guitars and keys in these songs.

Tantalize - Remant song

Debut single, an instrumental one. Music & guitars by me.

Tantalize - Night

Second single, now with lyrics. Music, lyrics, guitars, keys & production by me.

I am looking down but never behind
I am drinking poison, it makes me unwind
You always seem to have the answers
The brink of light is all I'm after

Go alone, the night takes you in
You won't feel a thing, I swear
Take the fall, there's nothing to win
No one to hear you pray

I feel like I've been here before
But now the skies are painted black
Mellow is the fate that I've got
Considering what I've done

Tantalize - Disappearance

Third single, a mellow one. Music, lyrics, guitars & keys by me.

After the day has faded away
I light the fire to ease my mind
I'm afraid of being left alone
I can't hold onto this life on my own

I'm tired and I speak out all the words in my heart
I'm hiding some kind of love
You can see all the hurt in my eyes
I burnt through the colors like the sky above

Can you help me tear my fears apart
and turn them into somehting new
All around me is beauty and hope
but I can't comprehend this life without you

Tantalize - The light that shines

Feeling hopeful here. Featuring Sunnie Williams on vocals. Music, lyrics, guitars, keys & production by me. This song was mastered by the one and only KRAMER.

With those words you said to me
I fell into a void
Please, won't you let me go
Without any memories
I played with all the possibilities
Left with one, the disability

To love you more & to love me less
To see the future right in front of me
Something that made me cry & confess
Made a home in my heart
Every day I seem to recess
This life crumbles & I fall apart

Hey, I'm learning to receive
The light that shines upon me
While I'm learning to see
The fight is already gone

Kind of feels like the end of the world
Kind of feels like a beautiful day
Making me want to smile through the pain
It's all the old love, I throw it away
I get it all now
There's no one to blame
For a heart that is inane

Tantalize - This grave is for me

I was feeling dark. Music, lyrics, guitars, keys & production by me.

This is what life is for me
It’s made of dark & loneliness
You think I’m gonna change for you?
This is nothing new to me
I’ve felt it since I came to be
I know that I am stronger now
I hope this never brings me down

Step to the side
While I dig this grave for me
You, still alive
Go on & set me free

I tried so hard to love
I tried so long to feel
But I never got above
All the things that made me kneel
Day turns into night
And pain turns into rest
I need to lay down here
And forget everything you said

Tantalize - Nightmares

Searching for the way. I spent days finding the right image for the cover art. When I found the perfect piece of art, I spent hours retouching it. Music, lyrics, guitars, keys & production by me.

Forgive me, I have wasted all my days
I'm finding myself to be just a grieving castaway
Falling to the ground
I have lost my way to be
Time to come around
I'll make an end to my hesitation

Craving to be something more
I'm just a little man
I'm dreaming of places unsoiled
Am I the only one?
Before I drown in the flames
I won't settle down
These are my nightmares untamed
Hold on to what I lost

I'm at the point of no return
I'm sinking underground my world is spinning
Grieving apparitions
They talk to me but
I've lost all the reasons
Put the lights out

Tantalize - Out of my head

This is a softer pop-rock song featuring Andrew Capra from Nashville on vocals. Music, lyrics, guitars, keys & production by me.

You came to the ruins of all
That used to be beautiful
Waters receding
Revealing all underneath
Eyes now fixated
On the horizon
Before I walk away
I need to clear my soul

Take me out of my head
So I can see that there's more
To this life than this grief
I've felt for so long
Let me start again

Bring forth another truth
Bring me down on my knees
Will I ever find the cure
I ask you once more please

Tantalize - Falling into myself

Latest release from 2019. First time kind of featuring all local talents. Music, lyrics, guitars, keys & production by me.

Take another look at me now
See, I'm a broken man
But if feels good to believe in you
All the pretty things you say

Revelations, they come & go
I think my heart was made to stray
I'm fighting off all my demons
They always color my world gray

I wonder if all I'm left with
Are my memories
I'd love to keep you near me
But I'm falling into myself
So go, or stay
I don't know what I'll be

I was hoping you could erase it all
But I think it's part of me
Barely coping with another fall
I think of you and I'm sorry
